Using the Blue Highway underlines our strong commitment to sustainable development.  Our relationship with McKeil goes back to 2004.  Since that time, we’ve moved over 2,000,00 metric tonnes of aluminum through the Great Lakes, while minimizing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions on our surface roads.

McKeil Marine has had many shipments come and go through the Port of Belledune; it has been a pleasure to work with McKeil to establish an excellent partnership that allows us to develop and undertake new business opportunities together.

The logistics around the transportation of our mobile crane from Sept Iles to Trois-Rivieres, QC included accounting for considerable weight and dimensions of the unit. Following lengthy and re-assuring discussions with McKeil’s Engineering and Commercial Team, we elected to route our mobile crane via their Ro-Ro service. The expertise offered by McKeil instilled us with confidence that our crane would be safely delivered to its destination. Any unforeseen obstacles were handled in an expedited, professional manner.

Over the last decade, McKeil Marine has been a great partner in helping to rebuild, modernize and expand cargo handling opportunities at the Port of Toledo. McKeil’s regular visits to Toledo have allowed our metals business to flourish while also providing a transportation solution for moving steel coils, grain, aggregates and other products through Toledo. McKeil Marine has pioneered and excelled at short sea shipping along HWY H2O and their passionate and professional staff is always an absolute pleasure to work with.
